Welcome to Open Source Town

A new way to live, work, and build what matters.

A place to belong — and to build the future.
We believe that when people live in healthy, collaborative, well-designed environments, everything changes: stress goes down, creativity rises, and life feels meaningful again.

Open Source Town (OST) is a self-sustaining co-living and co-working village designed for those who are done with burnout culture and want to focus on what matters most: health, community, creativity, and contribution.

Here, we live differently — and we do it together.

Why OST?
Built to solve real problems
We’re creating a place where engineers, artists, parents, makers, therapists, and thinkers can live and work in an environment that supports their well-being — and frees them to focus on developing open-source solutions for the world.

Nonprofit by design, sustainable by necessity
OST isn’t a gated retreat or a lifestyle brand. It’s a working prototype of how humans can live well while reducing our burden on the planet and public systems.

Radically human housing
No sterile boxes. We use climate-smart, sound-insulated single-level geodesic domes — a healthier, more resilient form of housing designed to support mental clarity and deep rest.

Nature isn’t a view — it’s part of the plan
With abundant green corridors, car-free zones, and walkable hexagonal clusters, OST offers both privacy and connection. Parks, gardens, and forests are part of daily life here — not weekend escapes.

Governance that works for humans
We use sociocratic decision-making: agile, transparent, and inclusive. No endless meetings, no top-down control — just purposeful collaboration.

Who is OST for?

  • Remote professionals looking for meaning beyond career
  • Parents who want to raise their kids in a sane, safe, and stimulating environment
  • Engineers, designers, and thinkers building tools for the common good
  • Therapists, educators, and caregivers who want to live in a place that doesn’t generate pathology
  • Retired professionals ready to share wisdom and mentor the next generation
  • Artists, gardeners, tinkerers — people who want to make, not just consume

If you’re tired of doing “what you’re supposed to” and ready to build “what the world actually needs” — you’re in the right place.

Open Source Town is more than an idea. It’s a livable hypothesis:
What happens when people have enough time, enough space, and the right conditions to thrive?

Let’s find out — together.
